Tymp -- from Latin: “drum”
Legio -- from Latin: “legion, army”
“Legion of drums”
Tymp Legio is big digital percussion in a 6hp platform. Inspired by the Noise Engineering team's love of all types of bang/crash/kick/boom sounds, Tymp Legio isn’t your normal drum-kit module with samples or simple emulations. Instead, they took the challenge of a small percussion module as an opportunity to fit the drum sounds they wanted quick access to in 6hp—and have a good time doing it.
Tymp Legio’s simple interface puts a massive tonal and textural range under your control. Use Tymp Legio’s three modes (Boot, Cat, Boing) to dial in wild, wacky, and punchy percussion to suit almost any need. The Tang switch offers variations within each mode. Stereo Quack inputs will duck your audio to your percussion (or pass through in Boing mode), making Tymp Legio a fantastic performance-percussion module.
That’s not all, though: it’s also a platform. Head to the Customer Portal to swap the functionality of your Legio module to a growing number of alternate firmwares, completely free. Plus, with open-source support and documentation at LibDaisy, you can write your own firmware.
