This is an analog synthesizer powered by either 9V–12V DC or a single 9V battery.
By touching five sensors—which are wired directly into the oscillator circuitry—with your fingertips, you can manipulate the rich, distinctive tones characteristic of analog oscillators in a variety of ways.
The sensors are highly responsive; the timbre changes based on touch pressure (ranging from firm contact to a feather-light touch that barely grazes the sensor) and the specific combination of sensors you touch (whether two, three, or more).
The top two sensors are connected to a SUB VCO that feeds into the MAIN VCO and VCF; this allows you to use touch sensitivity to modulate the VCF (filter) as well, enabling the creation of more complex timbres.
The bottom three sensors are connected to the MAIN VCO circuitry. These allow you to directly introduce noisy, textured variations to the main output oscillator, and the resulting sound shifts depending on how you combine touches—such as simultaneously touching these alongside the SUB VCO sensors.
With a simple architecture featuring two VCOs and one VCF (switchable between band-pass and low-pass modes), this instrument allows you to create unique sounds through intuitive operation.
The Main VCO and VCF are equipped with CV inputs. By using a 3.5mm adapter, you can connect them to the CV outputs of sequencers, analog synths, or modular synths, enabling a wider range of expressive possibilities.
It offers a more tactile, intuitive control experience, allowing you to instantly apply subtle nuances with your fingertips—far more fluidly than using patch cables or switches.
