This unit utilizes two oscillator circuits with different configurations, each with two types of waveform conversion circuits, to design a highly complex interaction. The output is routed through a distortion circuit, developed from the SNB-2b circuit, that emphasizes low, mid, and high frequencies, and is tuned to complement this oscillator.
By fine-tuning the numerical values of the circuit components and adjusting the knobs, you can achieve not only intense distortion but also subtly varied sounds.
This is a noisy analog synth oscillator with a distortion function that can emphasize HI, MID, and LO.
The oscillator can be input to a wide-range VCO, and the SUB VCO can be adjusted using the LEVEL control.
The VCO and SUB VCO are designed to influence each other in complex ways, allowing for a wide range of sounds to be created through subtle combinations of knob positions.
The VCO and SUB VCO are designed to interact with each other in complex ways, allowing for a wide range of sounds to be created through subtle knob position combinations. The MODE switch makes the connection between the SUB VCO and VCO more complex, and adjusting the input level with the LEVEL knob allows for different waveform changes.
With fine-tuning of the knobs, this model offers a wide range of tones, from noisy, dense, and aggressive sounds to choppy, intermittent sounds, by emphasizing high, mid, and low frequencies.
The CV IN allows you to input the CV OUT of other equipment (sequencers, analog synths, modular synths, etc.) to affect the VCO. The CV IN is a 3.5mm jack.
It is powered by a center-negative DC 9V adapter or a single 9V battery.
