The OP-Z is Teenage Engineering's even more compact follow up to their well-respected OP-1; the OP-Z is a 16-step sequencer and synthesizer with an emphasis on live performance. The OP-Z hosts a wide variety of features including independent length and speed controls for each of the 16 sequencer tracks; 8 open instrumental tracks for sampling which can be recorded through the onboard mic or through an external input; and can even control 2D and 3D visuals in real-time with its compatibility with Unity. Although the OP-Z does not include a screen, real-time visual feedback can be accessed through iOS.
